Sir Paul McCartney’s Tearful Live Debut of Final Beatles Song ‘Now and Then,’ Written by John Lennon, Who Would Be 84 Today
Paul McCartney, one of the famous Beatles, is bringing his music back to the UK this year with big shows in London and Manchester. He’s playing at London’s O2 Arena and Manchester’s Co-op Live, and you can buy tickets right now if you want to go see him.
Last year, something really special happened: the very last Beatles song, called Now and Then, came out. It has John Lennon’s voice from a long time ago and George Harrison’s guitar, and Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr finished it together. Paul, who is now 82 years old, sang this song live for the first time during his Got Back tour. He recently shared a video of that moment from a huge concert at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Besides Now and Then, Paul also played some of his other super popular songs like Hey Jude, Live and Let Die, and Band on the Run. His Got Back Tour is coming to the UK in December, and these will be his first shows here since he performed at the big Glastonbury festival in 2022. He’s going to do two concerts in Manchester and then two more in London. It’s a big deal to see this living legend play music that so many people love!
In the video, Paul played the piano and sang while old clips of the Beatles as young friends flashed on a screen behind him. The fans in Argentina loved it so much that many of them started crying because it was so touching.
